I recently spent a morning with Wade and Mary of Run Vancouver Adventures. While running through the city’s most iconic neighbourhoods, trails, and landmarks, Mary and Wade provided a fascinating narrative of Vancouver’s history and heritage. They are both third generation Vancouverites so are passionate about their city and all it has to offer. Being a somewhat slow runner, I was nervous about being able to keep up. But Mary and Wade ran at my speed, and we stopped many times to observe the sights. Our run took us from Coal Harbour, through Stanley Park, into the West End and English Bay, ending up at Granville Island for a much deserved meal and ice cold beer. Whether you are a native Vancouverite or a visitor to the city, if you want to get to know the city better by foot, then give Run Vancouver Adventures a call. You won’t be disappointed.
